SLB conducts successful training programme for coaches in Ratnapura
View(s):Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) conducted a successful training programme targeting coaches of the Sabaragamuwa region, at the Ratnapura Indoor Sports Complex. Piloted by the guidance of SLB President, Mr. Rohan de Silva, the one-day programme was spearheaded by Mr. Buddhika de Silva, the Chairman of the Training and Development Committee of
SLB, where coaches from Embilipitiya, Balangoda and Ratnapura participated.
The training programme provided the much-needed insights and technical knowledge for the aspiring badminton coaches, who received the basics of the trade by the SLB experts. This coach’s training programme is conducted by SLB with the sole purpose of adhering professionalism into badminton coaching, and to uplift the skill-levels and technical knowledge of the coaches. SLB intends to produce international level coaches who could guide aspiring badminton players to reach global standards.
