Women entrepreneurship and networking event held in Colombo
View(s):The recently concluded “Women Entrepreneurship & Networking” event in Colombo marked a significant milestone in the promotion and support of women entrepreneurs in both Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
Organised by the Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council (SLMBC) in collaboration with Apex Endeavour Sdn Bhd, the event brought together prominent business leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs, setting the stage for future collaborations and market expansions, the council said in a media release.
The event saw Ms. IR Chow Pui Hee, Group Managing Director of Malaysia’s Samaiden Group Berhad, delivering a keynote address on the vital role of women in driving sustainable business practices and the importance of cross-border partnerships. As a leader in the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and power plants, Samaiden’s involvement in the event highlighted its commitment to sustainability and gender empowerment.
“The exchange of ideas and experiences during the event was inspiring, and I believe it will lead to meaningful partnerships that benefit both Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Empowering women in business is essential for creating sustainable and innovative solutions that address the challenges of today,” said Ms. IR Chow Pui Hee.
