J’pura Uni research symposium shines light on research
View(s):The 10th ‘Uni-In Alliance 2024’ annual research symposium of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), organised by the Society of Industrial Scholars was held last week.
This brought together academics and students from across the country to present their research findings and innovations.
The symposium featured presentations across 11 tracks, covering a range of topics including information technology, humanities, medical sciences, engineering, and environmental sciences. The event also marked the final round of the Innovation Competition, “Futurum 2024,” which was focused on advancements in artificial intelligence (AI).
Chairman of Rupavahini Prof Sudantha Liyanage participated as guest of honor, and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science at USJ Prof S M C U P Subasinghe, Prof Ranjith Premasiri delivered the keynote address, emphasising the importance of bridging the gap between nature and technology.
The symposium highlighted research contributions of USJ students and provided a platform for future innovations.
The event is an annual gathering that fosters academic growth and collaboration within the university and beyond, the University said.
