A lecture on Tagore influence

A lecture on ‘Tagore dance, drama and its influence on the Sinhala mudranatya’ was delivered by guru Dr RavibanduVidyapathi recently.
This was to commemorate Bengali poet, playwright and painter Rabindranath Tagore’s 163rd birth anniversary.
Held by the Tagore Society of
Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, the lecture was followed by the launch of a magazine
containing Sinhala translations of Tagore’s poems and songs and a programme of song and dance based on Tagore’s writings.
