Dialog subscribers rise to 20 m with Airtel acquisition
View(s):Dialog Axiata PLC has completed the amalgamation with Bharti Airtel Lanka (Pvt) Ltd under the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, with Dialog remaining as the surviving entity.
This marks the official cessation of Airtel Lanka as a corporate entity, effective August 30, 2024, with its operational performance fully subsumed and consolidated within Dialog’s financial statements, Dialog said in a media release.
This strategic milestone represents a significant step forward in advancing Sri Lanka’s digital infrastructure, underscoring the combined strength and commitment of the Axiata and Bharti groups in delivering enhanced connectivity and more robust digital services across the country.
