A theatre festival in memory of Sri Lanka’s pioneer playwright Prof. Ediriweeera Sarachchandra will go on the boards from September 1 to 7 at the Elphinstone Theatre Colombo.
A collection of some of the most famous theatrical productions will be featured at the festival. It will kick off with “Maname” on September 1, followed by “Wellawahum” (Sept 2), “Mahasara” (Sept 3), “Hasthikantha Manthare” (Sept 4), “Pematho Jayathi Soko” (Sept 5), “Rathnavalee” (Sept 6) and “Sinhabahu” (Sept 7). The festival is organised by Jude Srimal.
