Sri Lanka was placed overall third at the Asian Rowing Indoor Championships 2024, which was held in Straits Quay, Penang, Malaysia recently. The Sri Lankan rowing team left a lasting impression, claiming a total of 25 medals – 10 gold, eight silver and seven bronze – to finish third behind Thailand and hosts Malaysia, who claimed a total of 37 and 42 medals respectively.

The Sri Lankan team achieved an important first in this competition by placing third overall, demonstrating their commitment to and proficiency in the sport of rowing.
