DCS-7 Decades of Sri Lanka, is one of the Stages Theatre Group’s most acclaimed productions. The play starring Nimmi Harasgama, Sanjeewa Upendra, Akalanka Prabashwara, Duminda Sandaruwan and Pia Hatch, takes the audience through 70 years of Sri Lankan history in seven gripping scenes.

First created in 2016, DCS-7 Decades was praised for its dynamic storytelling and succinct portrayal of macro-events.

Written and directed by Ruwanthie de Chickera with an original music score by Ranil Goonawardena, the story is based on interviews conducted with Sri Lankans born in the 1930s. Created through the memories of the generation born in the 1930s, DCS-7 Decades brings to stage the insights and stories of well known public personalities such as Iranganie Serasinghe, A. T. Ariyaratne, Nagalingam Ethirveerasingam, Bradman Weerakoon, Manourie Muttetuwegama and Ashley Halpe.

The play is 1 ½ hours long and is in English, Sinhala and Tamil with subtitles.
