Brothers Mikhail and Raphail shine in Singapore

Sri Lanka’s triumphant performance.
Mikhail Jayaweera from Colombo International School, alongside his cousin Ruel Wickramaratne of Royal College, secured two gold medals in the Boys ‘B’ Group category. The duo excelled in the 3m Synchronised Springboard and the Platform Synchronised events. In addition to his gold medals, Mikhail clinched two bronze medals in individual events – the 3m Springboard and Platform events.
Younger brother Raphail Jayaweera, representing Royal College, also shone brightly by winning two gold medals in the 3m Springboard and 1m Springboard events in the Boys Group ‘B’ category.
The Sri Lankan diving team, comprising 28 members, achieved an impressive overall tally of 28 medals, the highest number of medals won by a Sri Lankan diving team, including seven gold. Notably, the Jayaweera brothers contributed four of these gold medals, highlighting their significant impact on the Sri Lanka team’s success.
