Atlas Axillia Company (Pvt) Ltd after launching a new range of educational toys (EDU Toys) that support early childhood development has firm plans of going regional while introducing new product ranges.

Asitha Samaraweera, Managing Director of Atlas Axillia told The Sunday Times Business recently that they are trying to go into the region with these products. “We have plans to go to countries such as Bangladesh.” Going forward, the company will be getting into more product differentiation, he added.

Under Atlas PlayPalz, Atlas Axillia entered the educational toy market by introducing three new sub-brands, BlockBuddies, MindBuddies, and CraftBuddies. Rooted in the brand’s purpose to unleash the genius in every child, the new PlayPalz range represents a significant milestone for the organisation.

The brand aims to enhance early childhood development by promoting creativity, curiosity, and learning through engaging, hands-on experiences that enhance cognitive, emotional, and social growth.

Atlas PlayPalz is a significant milestone for the organisation, focusing on inspiring and educating children through Edu toys, fostering creativity and enhancing their development, Mr. Samaraweera said.

Child psychologist, Dr. Beenuka Wickramatunge, highlighted at the launch event of this product late last month, the importance of Edu toys for early childhood development, stating, “Play is fundamental to early childhood development and the Atlas PlayPalz toys are designed with the broader goal of improving this vital stage, providing engaging educational experiences that are crucial for improving a child’s potential.”

Earlier Hemas acquired a 24.9 per cent stake in Atlas Axillia for a total consideration of Rs.3.4 billion.
