Bishopians’ new choir in maiden concert

‘In The Spotlight – Celebrating children through song’, a choral concert presented by Voce Omnibus, the newly formed performance choir of Bishop’s College takes place on October 2. This is the choir’s first performance and will also be a celebration of International Children’s Day. 
Voce Omnibus simply means ‘Voice to all’. With Bishop’s College, one of the oldest girls’ schools in Colombo preparing to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2025, it was decided to further enhance the choral culture of the school by launching a new performance choir – Voce Omnibus.
The aim is to encourage students to develop their voices and gain exposure to different genres of music while learning dance and movement and fostering the confidence to perform to large audiences.
The show is directed by Dmitri Gunatilake, herself a past pupil of Bishop’s College.
‘In The Spotlight - Celebrating children through song’ will be on October 2 at 6.30 p.m at the Bishop’s College auditorium. Tickets will be available at the Boyd Place entrance of the school from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
