Sarachchandra’s plays for Children’s Day

Prof. Ediriweera Sarathchandra’s two theatrical productions ‘Kada Walalu’ and ‘Elowa Gihin Melowa Avaa’ will go on the boards on October 1 as a part of commemorating the Universal Children’s Day. ‘Kada Walalu’ and ‘Elowa Gihin Melowa Avaa’ will be staged at 8.15 am and 10.30 am. on October 1 at the Elphinstone Theatre Colombo.
The two plays made based on Buddhist Jathaka stories and Sinhala folklore were originally produced in 1958 and 1959 respectively.
