S Korea donates computers to Police, servers to AG’s Dept

The Government of the Republic of Korea donated computer equipment to Sri Lanka Police in order to promote digitalisation, to strengthen cyber investigation capabilities and to activate the issuance of criminal records.

The handover ceremony held this week was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Miyon Lee, and Deputy Inspector General of Police Rohan Premarathne of the Criminal Investigation Department.

South Korea also donated computer servers and server racks to the Attorney General’s Department to strengthen its investigative capacity.

Attorney General K Parinda Ranasinghe PC thanked the Korean government for the contribution.
