London – Suresh R.I. Perera of KPMG Sri Lanka was awarded the Tax Practice Leader of the Year 2024 for the ASPAC region, bringing significant recognition to Sri Lanka. Additionally, Mr. Perera was one of the four shortlisted for the Tax Litigation & Disputes Practice Leader of the Year (ASPAC region). The award was presented by ITR editors, Mr. Tom Baker and Mr. Sam Sholli.
After six months of rigorous research and analysis, the International Tax Review (ITR) announced the winners at the prestigious ITR EMA & ASPAC Regional Awards 2024. The gala event, held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, London Tower Bridge, celebrated the region’s most outstanding experts in direct tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and tax disputes.
With 25 years of experience in tax practice, Mr. Perera is an accomplished Attorney at Law, an LLB graduate, and a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA),UK. He has been with KPMG Sri Lanka, for the last 24 years.
