Colombo is set to experience a milestone in its latest hospitality scene as ‘Smoke & Bitters’ at the ‘Lost in Translation’ (LIT) by Nihonbashi at the Port City. Popular ‘Smoke & Bitters’, award winning cocktail bar and smokehouse located on the stunning Pehembiya beach in Hiriketiya on the southern tip of Sri Lanka, marks its first guest shift in the Capital City on Friday, October 4.

‘Smoke & Bitters’ is awarded ‘Sri Lanka’s Best Bar by ‘Asias50Best’ three years in a row and ranked highest in South Asia.

In an exciting collaboration, the iconic bar from Pehembiya Beach will bring their legendary craft cocktails made by their ‘village bartenders’ to the Lost In Translation (LIT), Colombo’s newest bar at the famed Nihonbashi by Dharshan.

Conceptualised by Dharshan Munidasa, Nihonbashi was the first restaurant in Sri Lanka to be ranked among ‘Asias50Best Restaurants’ (2013-2018) with LIT as his latest addition. This one night only experience will take place on October 4th at ‘Lost In Translation’ with a stunning backdrop of Port City Colombo.

Guests will have a unique opportunity to indulge in signature cocktails and culinary experiences brought together by two of Asia’s finest food and drink establishments, blending distinct flavours for one unforgettable night.

‘An event that promises to be an inclusive gathering of those who love imaginative drinks and food needs to be booked in advance (cover charge applicable) as there are limited spots available’ said Azquiya Usuph, Manager – Public Relations and Marketing Communications.

‘Smoke & Bitters’ is owned and operated by two best friends Don and Lalla (Don Ranasinghe and Lahiru Perera) along with their crew of bandits, from the villages surrounding Dikwella and beyond. Recognised by Asias50Best, Delicious, Vogue, Conde Nast Traveller, CNA Luxury and many more S&B are putting their craft and love for Sri Lanka on the global map.

All its dishes are cooked using wood fire, either smoked or chargrilled, as signified by the ‘Smoke’ in its name. ‘Bitters’ conveys the co-founders’ passion for creating their own bitters from locally sourced ingredients, which dominate the cocktail menu.
