Viranjan to lead MAF
View(s):The 30th Annual General Meeting of the Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF) held at the MJF Foundation auditorium on 7th September.
Youthful and energetic musician Viranjan Perera was unanimously elected as the new President of MAF for the year 2024/2025.
Viranjan is an active and dynamic member of MAF for over a decade and had served in various MAF committees for many years and graduates to the helm after serving as Senior Vice President.
A popular musician and singer (akin to his twin brother Eranjan), Viranjan is the son of La Bambas member Erinton, who himself had been a Past President of the Forum. Besides his musicianship, Viranjan is a fully fledged recording engineer and runs his own audio recording studio, ‘EV Creations’ located at his home premises in Moratuwa.
His priority as incumbent President is to effectively systematise the management via delegation of duties to ensure the upliftment of the artistic talents, especially of the younger members and is hopeful to conduct hands on workshops and training programmes to achieve such ends.
A staunch Old Thomian, Viranjan, since his early childhood has been very much attached to the musical activities of his parish, Holy Emmanuel Church, Moratuwa.

Former Presidents Priya Peiris, Lankika Perera, Brian Coorey and Sarath Goonawardene serve as the members of the Advisory Board.
