Ahas Ganga and Wasanthe Awith unveiled
View(s):Ahas Ganga, a collection of columns written by Supun Athukorala, and the song Wasanthe Awith, written by Dinith Uthpala Ranasinghe, were officially launched recently at the Mahaweli Centre auditorium in Colombo 7.
Prof. Sarath Wijesooriya and veteran writer Buddhadasa Galappathi shared their insights at the launch which was compered by Saman Jayaratne. Kumudika Attanayake performed the song Wasanthe Ewith, accompanied by music from Dr. Rohana Weerasinghe. A large gathering of academics, authors and artists were present.
The picture shows the presentation of the book and CD to the chief guests, People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse and Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka.
