The Pakistan High Commission in Colombo in collaboration with Courtyard Marriott, SriLankan Airlines and Marriott Islamabad has organised a Pakistani Food Festival from October 3-13. The inaugural ceremony on October 3 was attended by a large number of people including diplomats, government officials, businessmen and media representatives.

High Commissioner of Pakistan Maj Gen (R) Faheem Ul Aziz was chief guest. He said the food festival is a testament to the strong and enduring ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The two nations share a bond rooted in history, mutual respect, and close collaboration across a wide spectrum of areas – be it trade, education, culture, or diplomacy. The High Commissioner added that the Pakistan food festival is a unique opportunity to experience the essence of Pakistan through one of its most cherished expressions – food. The audience enjoyed the food and the live music performance by a Pakistani troupe.
