Eastern University 28th General Convocation sees 2,340 pass out The 28th Annual General Convocation of the Eastern University was held on October 5 and 6 at the Sel-laiyah Memorial Hall of the university under the leadership of Chancellor Professor M Selvarajah. Consul General of the Indian Consulate in Jaffna S Sai Murali was chief guest at the event. A total of 2,340 internal, external, graduate and postgraduate degrees were awarded during the two-day convocation ceremony. During the first session, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Science Education, Master of Science in Agriculture, Master of Education, Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration, Master of Development Economics, and Bachelor of Science degrees (Medicine, Dentistry), Special Physiological Scientist, Physiological Scientist, Special Agricultural Scientist, Agricultural Scientist) degrees were awarded. A total 333 degrees were awarded in Business Administration, Special Business Administration, Special Business Administration in Marketing Management; Human Resource Management; Accounting and Fi-nance; Business Economics; Chittamaruthu – Chatra; degrees such as Bachelor of Therapy, Bachelor of Special Science, Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Biosystems Technology in Agricultural Technology and Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Lin-guistics. 204 degrees in Fine Arts – Music; Dance; Drama and Theatre; Theatre and Technical Arts were awarded on the first day second, third and fourth sessions. 321 degrees in Education, and Arts (Special Degree) and 740 degrees in Arts (General) and 61 degrees in Business Management (External) were awarded to the graduates in the first, second and third sessions of the second day. – Deva Adiran
