Celebrating its 75th anniversary, leading menswear brand Hameedia, unveiled its exclusive Global Wedding Collection at a glamorous event held at Envoy Mansion, Colombo this week. The brand’s latest collection, is designed to cater to the modern groom.

Fouzul Hameed, Managing Director of Hameedia, speaking about the company’s journey said: “Tonight, we not only celebrate 75 years of Hameedia’s dedication to men’s fashion but also the groom’s place in the spotlight. We are not just marking a milestone; we are celebrating the essence of life and style.”

“The Global Wedding Collection is designed to provide grooms with outfits that reflect their personality and complement the wedding theme, ensuring they feel confident and stylish on their special day.”

Hameedia’s Global Wedding Collection is tailored for every wedding theme and groom’s personality, whether a beach wedding, garden ceremony, destination event, or traditional Hindu and Catholic wedding.

Global Wedding Collection hits the ramp

The collection includes Western suits, national attire, Indian ethnic wear, Jodhpur suits, Sherwani and more.

One-on-one style consultations for prospective grooms, led by Fouzul Hameed, are also available.

Underscoring Hameedia’s commitment to giving back to the community through its My Friend Foundation, a donation of Rs. 1 million to the Indira Cancer Trust from the proceeds of their ‘Pink Collection,’ a special range designed to support breast cancer awareness and detection was also announced at the event. Additionally, the Indira Cancer Trust will receive 30% of the proceeds from each purchase of these products.

One hundred life jackets were also donated through Hameedia’s Lifeworth project, in collaboration with the Marine Police and the Rotary Club of Colombo, as part of their efforts to reduce drowning incidents. Furthermore, Lifeworth has set up a life-saving pillar with two lifeguards stationed at Wellawatte Beach to enhance safety on the beach.
