‘Jigra’: A tale of a sister
View(s):Jigra (’Courage’) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller directed by Vasan Bala, who also co-wrote it with Debashish Irengbam. It stars Alia Bhatt (as Satya Anand) as a troubled young woman who must rescue her brother Ankur Anand (played by Vedang Raina) from prison. Others in the cast are Aditya Nanda, Sobhita Dhulipala, Manoj Pahwa as Bhatia, Harssh A. Singh, Rahul Ravindran as Muthu and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor as a flight attendant.
Satya, a young woman who has endured a difficult childhood, now only has one person left in her life—her brother Ankur, who is imprisoned and tortured in a foreign jail. With no other options, Satya must transform into a hero and attempt the unthinkable: break him out of prison and bring him to safety.

The film was initially scheduled to release on 27 September 2024, but was later moved to 11 October 2024.
