“SLBFE management reprimanded by Auditor”
With reference to the above article in last week’s Sunday Times Business, as the General Manager of the SLBFE, I have made a complaint to the Audit Service Commission against the Audit Superintendent, Ms. R.A.D.N. Gunasekara attached to the Auditor General’s Department regarding her unethical behaviour and abuse of power through the Secretary of the line ministry. This was among several other complaints lodged by some officers of the SLBFE and an outside party against the same Audit Superintendent. Without appointing an independent party to conduct an inquiry on my complaint, an officer of the same office (National Audit Office) had been appointed to conduct the said inquiry which was partial and a breach of the rule of natural justice by hearing their own case by themselves. The said Audit Superintendent continues her service at the SLBFE branch of the Auditor General’s Department. She has not been transferred to the Labour section of the Embassy in Israel. Further, legal action regarding this injustice is in progress.
