New intake for Korea Lanka School of Hospitality and Hotel Management
View(s):The intake for the new semester for Korea Lanka School of Hospitality and Hotel Management (KLSHHM) is now open. It offers free NVQ 3 and 4 courses in hospitality, including Professional Cookery, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operations and Hotel Housekeeping aimed at equipping students for careers in leading hotels in Sri Lanka and abroad.
Korea Lanka School of Hospitality and Hotel Management (KLSHHM), Wattala was established in year 2018 by the South Korean NGO, Good Partners and is been funded by the government funding arm of Republic of South Korea, the International Co-operation Agency (KOICA).
The ultimate purpose of this vocational education project is to create employment opportunities for marginalised youth of the country as they have limited access to employment opportunities in the hospitality industry’ said Rohan Tennekoon, the Senior Lecturer attached to Korea Lanka School of Hospitality and Hotel Management, Wattala.
The school emphasises theory and practical training alongside English Language, Soft skills and basic IT knowledge development.
Its enrolments for new semesters are held twice a year during the months of December and June for Sri Lankan youth between the ages 18 to 24 years with minimum GCE O/L qualification.
