New DS in N’Eliya

Shalika Lindakumbura, the District Welfare Commissioner of Nuwara Eliya, has been appointed as Additional District Secretary (Lands) of Nuwara Eliya.
Ms Lindakumbura, a resident of Jambugahapitiya, Kandy, studied at Yatirawala School, Hemamali Girls’ School, and Pushpadana Girls’ School and entered the University of Peradeniya. She has a Bachelor’s degree in economics. She joined the public service and was Assistant Provincial Land Commissioner in the Central Province. Ms Lindakumbura is married to Madhura Seneviratne, a doctor at Nuwara Eliya General Hospital and resides at Bambarakele.
