Singapore Cooperation Programme invites nominations
View(s):The Department of External Affairs had written to the Secretary of the Ministry of Education that Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP) has invited nominations from eligible government officials to take part in Singapore skills Transformation 4.0 course to be held on February 10 to 14, 2025 in Singapore.
The objective of the course is to challenge participants to rethink, reform and digitalise their existing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems to contribute to economic and social development.
The course would cover topics such as TVET best practices adopted by the Singapore government and TVET institutions, translation of TVET strategies into action plans and programmes, new ideas in tackling TVET issues and building responsive and resilient TVET.
According to the guidelines of the programme, the air fare needs to be borne by the nominating government as per the directions of the national budget circular dated 27.01,2023 and circular issued by Secretary to president dated 15 March 2023. As a result, the applicant should bear the air fare as the government cannot use budgetary funds for air tickets of applicants.
The letter had also requested to submit one nomination in line with the treasury circular dated October 24, 2013 to the Department of External Affairs with nomination letter (from relevant ministry, application form (printouts and online applications) ERD form (could be downloaded from www.erd.gov.lk) as well as a letter stating that the applicant will pay for air fare, endorsed by the Secretary of the ministry, head of department/agency.

Duly completed applications should be received by the Department of External Affairs before 2 pm on December 27 with the Ministry covering letter and other relevant documents. (KW)
