Local dance forms at festival in China
View(s):The Saptha Rangi Institute of Performing Arts represented Sri Lanka at the France Gannat International Art Festival held in Taiyuan, China. The event, aimed at fostering international cultural exchanges took place from October 1-7 in Qingxu, China.
The 17-member Sri Lankan delegation, from the Saptha Rangi Institute, showcased the island’s rich cultural heritage through traditional Kandyan, Low Country and Sabaragamuwa dance forms. Their vibrant costumes, intricate choreography, and the rhythmic beats of Sri Lankan drums captivated audiences.
The Saptha Rangi Institute was founded by Radeesha Samangi Bodiyabadu in 1991.
