SLTA conducts Denta Teen Cool Tennis
View(s):The All-Island Inter-School SLTA Denta Teen Cool Tennis Kids Play Day Division ‘A’ Tennis Championship was held at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association court in Greenpath, Colombo. Around 108 teams representing schools from various parts of the country participated in this tournament where Ananda College and Visakha Vidyalaya bagged two titles each. Ananda claimed the Boy’s Red Ball and Green Ball segments while Visakha won the Girl’s Red Ball and Green Ball titles. In addition, St. Peter’s College ‘Blue’ won the Boy’s Orange Ball segment while Ladies College emerged winners of Girl’s Orange Ball division. In the Boy’s Green Ball Consolation event, S. Thomas’ College ‘A’ emerged winners.
Teams representing schools from Colombo, Moratuwa, Panadura, Kalutara, Galle, Jaffna, Negombo, Kandy, Kurunegala, Gampaha, Rathnapura, and Matale regions featured in the age groups of Under-7 in Red Ball, Under-8 in Orange Ball and Under-10 in Green Ball divisions.
The tournament was organised and conducted by Sri Lanka Tennis Association in collaboration with Denta as main sponsors. Hanif Yusoof, the Governor of the Western Province graced the awards ceremony as the chief guest.
