The chief Sanganayake of Switzerland and chief incumbent of the Geneva Buddhist temple, Ven Dr Thawalama Dammika Thera is to be awarded the honorary title of Dharmakeerthi Jathyanthara Bhasha Visharada.

The 57-year-old thera was a principal of many schools in the country including Colombo Ananda College, and a dharma acharya, dharma preacher, newspaper writer and book author. The thera has spread the dhamma message in Switzerland, France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many European countries. The thera will visit his country of origin and accept the prestigious title given in appreciation of his services.
