Sunquick, one of Sri Lanka’s leading beverage brands, has been awarded the Dragons of Sri Lanka Gold Award for “Best Digital Campaign” at the recent Dragons of Asia awards ceremony. This recognition was given for the innovative “Virtual Nade Gura” campaign, developed in partnership with Affinity Integrated. Through Virtual Reality (VR) technology, the campaign reimagines the legendary “Nade Gura”—the traditional guide for pilgrims ascending Adam’s Peak—allowing audiences to engage with Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage in an entirely new way.

The Dragons of Asia awards honour the region’s top marketing and digital campaigns, with the Dragons of Sri Lanka Gold Award specifically recognising standout campaigns from Sri Lanka. The award-winning campaigns are selected by an international panel of industry experts who assess entries based on criteria such as originality, creativity, strategic insight, execution, and effectiveness in connecting with target audiences. Receiving a Dragons of Sri Lanka Gold Award signifies excellence in combining innovative strategy with meaningful audience impact, as demonstrated by Sunquick’s “Virtual Nade Gura” initiative, Sunquick said in a media release.
