The Disaster Management Centre (DMC), in collaboration with the Department of Examinations, has established a special operations unit to implement precautionary measures considering potential adverse weather conditions affecting students sitting for the Advanced Level exam.

To enhance safety and communication, a 24-hour hotline (117) has been introduced, along with additional numbers: 011 366 8020, 011 366 8100, 011 366 8013, 011 366 8010, and 076 3 117 117 for reporting emergencies.

DMC Media Spokesman Pradeep Kodippili said that the tri-forces, Police, Meteorology Department, National Building Research Organisation, Irrigation Department and other technical organisations would actively be involved in the process.
