Prima energises Sri Lanka’s next generation with Prima U15 Youth League 2024
View(s):Prima Group Sri Lanka partnered with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to sponsor the Under-15 Sri Lanka Youth League (SLYL) 2024, organised by Sri Lanka Cricket, under its National Pathway Programme, with the objective of identifying promising young cricketers at an early stage.
The partnership was announced at a joint media conference held by Sri Lanka Cricket and Prima Group at the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA), Colombo.

Sri Lanka has been the proud official sponsor of the Prima U-15 SLYL Tournament, which has served as a platform for thousands of young cricketers to represent their districts and, subsequently, their provinces. Many talented cricketers, both past and present, who represent the national cricket team have had their beginnings at this tournament.
Prima U-15 SLYL 2024, a 50-over tournament, will be played in several venues in Colombo, commencing on November 21. The venues where the games will be played are Colombo University ground, Mercantile Cricket Association ground, Thurstan College, and Royal College cricket grounds.
Five provincial teams, namely Colombo North, Colombo South, Dambulla, Galle, and Kandy, will compete at this tournament, where the semi-finals are scheduled for November 28, with the final match taking place on November 30.
“This is an important tournament in our annual development calendar and done in order to harness the future generation of our cricketers, and we value the continuous partnership by the Prima Group,” Ashley de Silva, the CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket, said.
“Prima Under-15 Sri Lanka Youth League is an incubator where future cricketing legends are forged. As we commence this year’s tournament, we anticipate an exceptional display of skill, sportsmanship, and the unyielding spirit of competition.
