SigiriyaJungles, a resort set on 10 acres of, is one of Sri Lanka’s foremost resorts amidst paddy fields and the Sigiriya Rock Fortress as the backdrop.

The company said in a media release that the architect has made every effort to bring in elements of Sri Lankan architecture to the resort complex to ensure a connection to the area. Each room is designed to serve as a sanctuary with tranquil indoor and outdoor living spaces, intimate artistic touches and on-demand service.

The resort, which operates in harmony with nature and is making significant efforts to embrace the concept of eco-friendly hospitality and sustainable travel, has devoted itself to preserving biodiversity. Not only are all food and beverages produced and sourced locally, programmes are in place to re-use water and recycle waste, minimising any environmental impact.

Visitors are offered choices of International cuisine through a Sri Lankan perspective. “Our approach allows the local ingredients and cooking methods to create a distinctive flavour while embracing a vibrant fusion of flavours from many cultures. Every dish is expertly prepared to delight the most discerning palates at our lively BBQ evenings and themed nights featuring Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and Mexican cuisines,” a resort spokesman said.

A Sri Lankan cooking demonstration is one of the experiences offered to guests. This immersive activity begins at the resort’s organic vegetable garden, where guests handpick fresh ingredients and use these in the demonstration. Led by a chef, they are guided through traditional Sri Lankan cooking methods, from scraping coconut to extracting fresh coconut milk, using only Sri Lankan spices and condiments. More than just a cooking class, it’s an opportunity to create lasting memories. Guests are given a recipe booklet and a contact number for any follow-up questions.

The resort’s Executive Chef leads one of the most talented culinary teams in Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle.
