Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Philippines Dr. Chanaka Talpahewa had the privilege of taking part in a diving experience in the Philippines along with the Tourism Secretary (Minister) of the Philippines. Although ambassadors from South Korea, Bangladesh, India, Lao-PDR, Malaysia, New Zealand,
Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and representatives from the Embassies of Cambodia, China, France, Indonesia and the US were present, only the Sri Lanka ambassador took part in the dive. The event was an initiative by the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) to reinforce the country’s position as a premier global destination for diving and marine biodiversity exploration.
