Striking: The black cubic building in the heart of Colombo 3

Paradise Road has officially launched its first-ever lifestyle space, combining a retail experience with an art gallery. Located in a striking black cubic building in the heart of Colombo 3, the space spans four floors.

Throughout the space, stunning artwork and sculptures by  artists such as JC Rathnayake, Chudamani Clowes, and Sivasubramaniam Kajendran are displayed.

The ground and first floors are dedicated to Paradise Road’s signature collections, while the newly opened PR Concept Store on the first floor celebrates monochrome – Paradise Road’s signature colour palette, with limited edition pieces designed exclusively for the space by local designers.

The second floor is home to PRSFG, a merger between two of Sri Lanka’s leading art galleries, Paradise Road Galleries and Saskia Fernando Gallery.

The next phase of the project will see the launch of a new restaurant, offering a fresh menu curated by founder Udayshanth Fernando.

Retail experience with an art gallery

“We are thrilled to open our doors and offer something truly unique,” said Founder Udayshanth Fernando. “This is not just a store – it’s a lifestyle space that celebrates creativity in every form.”

Founded in Sri Lanka in 1987 by design entrepreneur Udayshanth Fernando, the brand was born in retail and later expanded into hospitality with the launch of its first café in 1994, followed by its first restaurant and art gallery – The Gallery Cafè and Paradise Road Galleries in 1998 and its first boutique hotel – Tintagel Colombo, in 2007.

All retail products are designed by Fernando and made by independent artisans ensuring a sustainable growth of Sri Lanka’s art and craft industries.

The new space and Gallery is at 138, Galle Road, Colombo 3. See
