Prima Sunrise powers Sri Lanka Junior Open 2024 and Regional Junior Opens 2025
View(s):Sri Lanka Junior Open, the most prestigious golf championship, for the 16th consecutive year. Their commitment to nurturing young talent will once again shine at the Sri Lanka Junior Open Golf Championship 2024, featuring rising stars from the country and overseas.
The Junior Open Championship will be held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) from December 10 to 12, with practice rounds scheduled for December 9. The tee off is expected to take place at 8.00am each day.

Recognised as the benchmark for the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) in junior golf, the Sri Lanka Junior Open crowns the national junior champion in both the boys’ and girls’ categories, bringing gender recognition.

Prima’s steadfast support has significantly shaped Sri Lanka’s junior golf landscape, empowering rising stars such as Jevahn Sathasivam, Reshan Algama, Kaya Daluwatta, Adithya Weerasinghe, Sithara Lorance, Anumi Karunathilaka, and Jacob Norton in the senior groups and Lavindu Premarathne, Revaan Amarasingha, Thejas Rathis Kanth, and Senal Nimsith in the junior category to shine on the course.

The age group categories will be played in Open, Silver, Bronze and Copper divisions. The Open, which is the Gold Division, will be for girls and boys between the ages of 15 to 18, while boys and girls of ages between 13 and 14 will be featured in the Silver Division. The Bronze Division is for boys and girls of ages 11 and 12 while young golfers of both gender who are below 10 years, will be categorised under the Copper Division.
As the title sponsor, Prima Sunrise Bread will provide nutritional support for all players throughout the championship. The tournament will conclude with a prize giving ceremony on December 12 at 3.00pm.
