St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota, cruised to an emphatic innings and 19-run victory over St. Benedict’s College in their Under-19 inter-school cricket encounter concluded in Kandy yesterday. Despite a valiant effort by Sri Lanka Youth player Sharujan Shanmuganathan (105), who displayed fine batting form, St. Benedict’s managed only 146 and 103 in response to St. Anthony’s formidable first innings total of 268.

In other matches, S. Thomas’ College secured a first innings win against St. Servatius’ College in Mount Lavinia. Meanwhile, St. Thomas’ College, Matara and Moratu MV claimed outright victories over Tissa Central, Kalutara, and Lyceum International School, Wattala respectively.
