Nissanka Diddeniya felicitation and “Sindukara Kavinaluwa” drama
View(s):The Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya, Colombo Chapter presents a special event featuring the felici-tation of veteran artist Nissanka Diddeniya alongside the staging of the Sinhala drama “Sindukara Kavinaluwa” on Fri-day, January 10 with two shows at the Namel Malani Punchi Theatre, Borella. The drama is directed by Prof Mangala Senanayake, with an exceptional cast, including Nissanka Diddeniya, Prasannajith Abeysuriya, Rathna Lalani Jayakody and other veteran artistes.
A special show for children will be held at 3.30 pm and the public show with the felicitation ceremony will start at 6.30 pm.
President of the association Priyath Cabral said they expect to raise funds for various projects initiated by the associa-tion for conducting welfare activities that will benefit the students of the University of Peradeniya as well as fellow alumni and general public.
