‘Kaasi Waasi’ A Fortune for Lanka’s Film scene

‘Sikuru Hathe’ and ‘Paha Samath’ are two of such examples and interestingly both were presented by Imperial Talkies. The movie company is ready to release its third production ‘Kaasi Waasi’ an entertaining film created by renowned actor and director Giriraj Kaushalya. The fourth directorial venture of Giriraj’s is based on a story and screenplay written by Jayaprakash Sivagurunathan.
‘Kaasi Waasi’ will be released at SCOPE cinemas and other theatres of LFD and CEL circuits from January 23.
Revolving around a funeral parlour which is named after its owner Mr. Amarabandu, the film showcase an interesting and entertaining tale on common people who face during their day today events. The story narrates on three of his employees at Amarabandu Funeral parlour, embalmer who is called ‘Bass Unnahe’ his assistant Pinthu and the driver Raththa, the three who always upset the smooth functioning of the funeral parlour.
Amarabandu has talkative daughter and calm and peaceful wife. Amarabandu’s daughter is in love with Saranga, a playful young man.
The cast features Sarath Kothalawala, Giriraj Kaushalya, Rodny Warnakula, Priyantha Senevirathna, Gihan Fernando, Sampath Jayaweera, Sangeeth Prabhu, Lakshmi Damayanthi, Nirosha Thalagala and Amandya Uthpali.
Among the technical crew, behind the camera Thusitha Anuradh and Prabath Darshana, assistant director Jayantha Abeyratne, music direction Vihanga Muthumanthri, art director Manoj Wickremesinghe, production manager Dhammika Gunasena, makeup by Wasana Bandara Wijekone, still photography Dhammika Lathirathne, editor Ajith Ramanayake, colour grading Ananda Bandara and producers of ‘Kaasi Waasi’ are Anuradha B. Rekhawa and Srilal Wickremege.
