Dr Samith Buddika director of Peradeniya distance learning centre

University of Peradeniya engineering faculty senior lecturer Dr Samith Buddika recently assumed office as the new Director of the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (external degree).
Dr Buddika was a past pupil of Ampara Kawanthissa School and D S Senanayake National School at Ampara. He entered the Engineering Faculty of the Peradaniya University and obtained an honours degree and served as a novice lecturer.
He studied at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. After completing a graduate degree and gaining a doctorate he served as a senior lecturer at the University of Peradeniya.
