Nuwara Eliya gets new information centre

A new information centre was recently set up at Nuwara Eliya at a cost of 2.5 million rupees.
The centre will provide tourists information about Nuwara Eliya, Department of Trade, Commerce, and Tourism Director Samanali Hewage said attending the opening ceremony.
She added that people could provide services for tourists and generate new means of income.
Additional Commissioner in charge of Nuwara Eliya local government Y V Wijewardena, Nuwara Eliya Municipal Commissioner K M W Banara, tourism and hotel industry repesentatives, tourism police officials, municipal council staff, Nuwara Eliya public library librarian joined the event.
