Teacher felicitated at prize giving

The annual prize giving of the Karunarathna Buddhist National College in Welisara, Mahabage was held recently. Assistant principal and teacher Dhananjaya Waidyasekara was felicitated at the event.
He was recognised for having taken the least number of leaves, for helping students win at the all island new inventions competition, obtaining job opportunities for students, running the school’s Buddhist trustee society and the school’s media unit ‘Nandesin Ase’, contributing to the high number of passes in the geography subject, and promoting other curricular activities.
Chief guest at the event Kelaniya Divisional Education Director Nilmini Perera presented the award.
