A Fresh Start: Institute of Chemistry (IChemC) Welcomes New Year with Celebrations

The Institute of Chemistry Ceylon (IChemC) commenced the 1st day of this year with a short celebratory event, bringing everyone together to set the tone for 2025. The festivities began with a warm welcome speech from the Acting Dean of College of Chemical Sciences (CCS), Prof. Srianthi Deraniyagala, who highlighted achievements from the past year and shared an inspiring vision for the year ahead. She stated the major plans and important events scheduled for the upcoming year as IChemC strives forward as a leading institution in the nation that provides STEM education revolved around chemistry to Sri Lankan students.

The Registrar of IChemC, Mr. Geethanjith Karunarathne also highlighted the valuable contribution of the staff members towards achieving the institute’s goals for the year 2025, while wishing everyone a constructive and a blessed year.

The celebration concluded with the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, followed by a group picture involving all staff members.
