University of Jaffna media students view the 2024 World Press Photo of the Year by Reuters photographer Mohammed Salem, curated by Arththy Ravivarman of the Sri Lanka Press Institute.
Captured on October 17, 2023, at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza, the photo features Palestinian national Inas Abu Maamar (36) grieving over the lifeless body of her 5-year-old niece, Saly, killed in an Israeli air strike.
The exhibition held at the Cultural Center will be on until January 27.
