View(s):All judges and judicial officers who are overseas and those who are not reporting to duty based on a decision by the Judicial Service Commission are required to file their declaration of assets and liabilities under the provisions of Anti Corruption Act No. 09 of 2023.
Following up with the written communique sent by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) to the Judicial Service Commission on the matter, the CIABOC stressed that the officers should have filed their declarations by June 30 last year on the assets and liabilities exited on March last year.
The Commission also indicated that the officers who are subjected to the law will have to make declarations within fourteen days after the end of their term or removal from office.
For those who retire from state service, the post-retirement declaration period is two years from the retirement date.
