RIC Achieves 20 First-Class Degrees in LSE-Led Degrees for the 2023/24 Academic Year, along with 37 Academic Achievement Awards, Shining on the Global Stage

Royal Institute of Colombo (RIC) proudly celebrates the achievements of its students in the 2023/2024 academic year, having earned 20 first-class degrees in the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)-led programmes in Economics, Management, Finance, and Social Sciences (EMFSS). Additionally, an impressive 37 awards were secured from the prestigious LSE, underscoring the exceptional performance of RIC students and the unwavering dedication of their lecturers.

RIC is also pleased to announce an outstanding student pass rate of 87.7%, surpassing the global student average pass mark of 79.5%. Additionally, RIC students achieved a 90% module pass rate, surpassing the global module pass rate of 81%, achieved by over 30 teaching centres worldwide. This accomplishment highlights RIC’s academic excellence and commitment to delivering world-class education.

Academic direction for the EMFSS degrees at RIC is provided by LSE, which ranks in the top 6 globally for Social Science and Management according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024.

LSE serves as the academic direction provider for the EMFSS degrees offered by the University of London at Royal Institute of Colombo. Ranked as the top university in London and sixth in the world for Social Science and Management subjects in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, LSE is renowned for its excellence in education. The academic direction ensures that the curriculum, assessments, and learning outcomes align with LSE’s rigorous standards, providing students with an education that reflects the same quality and depth as that offered on-campus in London.
