Akesha Silva and Apna Perera emerged Women’s and Men’s Singles champion of the CL Synergy SSC Open Tennis Championship when they came out victorious in the finals played at the SSC tennis courts in Colombo yesterday. Akesha underwent some anxious moments against Oneli Samarawickrama in a match that went down to the wire on her way to claim a 2-1 victory while Apna, who is clinching the title for the second time, had an easy outing against Ashen Silva for an easy 2-0 win.
