Manupa steers Nalanda to easy win
A top knock of 61 off 52 balls, inclusive of five boundaries and four sixes from by Manupa Manmitha helped Nalanda College record an easy 5-wicket win over S. Thomas’ College in the Under-19 inter-school limited over tournament encounter played at Campbell Place. S. Thomas’, who elected to bat first, made 198 for 9 and Manupa’s knock enabled Nalanda to race to the target with ease in the 39th over.
Dharmapala Pannipitiya, Dharmasoka Ambalangoda, Bandaranayake Gampaha and St. Mary’s Kegalle too won their matches against Sri Devananda Amblangoda, St. John’s Jaffna, Jaffna Central and Karandeniya Central respectively.
