Applications open for 60 Indian undergraduate scholarships
View(s):The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has called for applications for the Indian ICCR undergraduate scholarships offered under Nehru Memorial and Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Schemes 2025/26.
Applications are invited from eligible Lankans for 60 undergraduate scholarships offered by the Government of India.
Applicants should be citizens of Sri Lanka between the ages of 18-40 years as at 01.03.2025.
Applicants should have a minimum of three passes at the 2023 GCE (A/L) examination in the relevant fields conducted by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka, and should possess a good knowledge of English. (Should have obtained at least a “C” pass in English at the GCE O/L examination and “S” pass at the GCE A/L examination). They should also be in good health and ready to live in India during the period of study.
The applicant should not be registered or following a course at a state university in
Sri Lanka as an internal student in a basic degree programme (a student selected by UGC based on GCE A/L results).
The fields of study include engineering (BE/B Tech), science, business, economics, commerce, humanities and arts as well as Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology and Information Technology. The application submission deadline is March 1.
