Colombo airport casino plan in limbo
View(s):The Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) has cancelled a tender or invitation for bids to open a casino counter at the Colombo airport.
In a newspaper notice on Sunday February 16, the public was informed that this tender or invitation for bids (called on January 27) has been cancelled. No reason was given for the move. It was the first time that the public had been informed of a casino service counter to be opened at the airport.
Earlier bids had been invited for the operation of a Casino Service Counter at the Immigration Area of the BIA for a period of three years.
