The West Container Terminal (WCT-1), the deep-water container terminal in the Port of Colombo, is set to commence operations shortly. Developed through a public-private partnership by John Keells Holdings, Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd, and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority; the project will be the country’s first automated container terminal. Once complete it will have an annual capacity of 1.6 million TEUs. Seen is work in progress at the terminal.
